Venimos trabajando para poder brindar atenciones sin costo a las mujeres kichwas en estado de vulnerabilidad. Esta acción nos permite ofrecer cuidados de calidad y beneficiar a más familias  con medicina natural y técnicas ancestrales, mientras preservamos nuestro conocimiento desde la práctica. 

Esta alternativa es posible gracias a los ingresos obtenidos de nuestro Programa Inmersivo de Partería Kichwa Amazónica- PIPKA. Una propuesta en la que recibimos estudiantes de todas las procedencias que quieran aprender de partería tradicional en nuestro territorio. 

  • ATENCIÓN PRE- NATAL

Our midwives will use their hands to check the position of your baby. In case that your baby is not in the best position they could help you with that (simple technique). They can also prepare natural remedies if you have any pregnancy complications such as preeclampsia.

  • ACOMODO DE BEBÉ ANTE COMPLICACIONES

If the baby is in a difficult position, the midwives can recolocate them applying massages. In that way future complications during pregnancy and labour will be avoid.

  • PARTO VERTICAL

In Amupakin we use standing positions to allow mobility and ease labour and birth, preserving women's comfort. Vertical positions improve the oxygen and nutrients flow between the placenta and the baby, reducing the risk of fetal distress.

Women can use ropes holding from the ceiling to facilitate the right position.

Of course, they will always be supported by their relatives and he midwives. Once the birth has occurred, the mamas will take the placenta to the chakra. It will be buried along with ashes and a powerful plant will be grown there to look after the baby.

  • ENCADERAMIENTO

Acompañamos a las madres luego del parto. En este proceso, ella recibe masajes para ascender el útero hasta colocarlo en su posición original. Es recomendable acudir a esta atención un mínimo de 15 días después del nacimiento de su bebé.

  • CEREMONIA DE PURIFICACIÓN

Ritual que se realiza 8 días después del nacimiento del bebé junto a las parteras, familia y todos los que apoyaron en el parto. El objetivo de esta ceremonia es limpiar las energías pesadas que se liberaron en el nacimiento. El evento inicia a las 4 am. En él, una achimama con dones de Yachak prepara con anticipación una bebida hecha con la corteza de 12 árboles de pitón. Esta bebida induce el vómito y de este modo se purga el cuerpo para revitalizarlo.

  • PREPARADOS MEDICINALES

En caso de que se presente alguna complicación como anemia o infecciones, las mamas elaborarán preparados medicinales.
